Years Old or Older.
-You must
have been a Texas resident for at least 6 months, with the intent
of remaining a Texas resident. You may presently obtain a non-resident
license if you are a resident of one of the following states:
Illinois, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, Ohio, Vermont,
Wisconsin, or Washington D.C.
-You can
never have been convicted of a felony.
-If you were
ever convicted of a misdemeanor A, B, or C (Disorderly Conduct)
it must be at least 5 years since you have completed your sentence
or probation before you may apply.
-You cannot
be in default of a student loan.

Obtaining
A Texas Concealed Hand Gun License
-You
cannot be in default of any state or city taxes.
-You
cannot be in default in child support payments.
-You
cannot be under a court protective order or restraining
order affecting a spousal relationship.
-You
cannot, with in the past 10 years, have been adjudicated
of Juvenile Delinquency of a felony grade violation. |

-You
cannot have made any false misrepresentation, or failed
to disclose any material fact in your application submitted
to DPS.
-You
cannot have been convicted twice within the past 10 years
for any Class B Misdemeanor or greater involving the use
of Alcohol or a controlled substance.
-You
cannot be a fugitive from justice, be chemically dependant
or a person of unsound mind. |
